Is Sparroz a real bank?
Sparroz is a trading name; payment services are provided by Wallester AS, a regulated Electronic Money Institution licensed in Estonia. Your funds are held in safeguarded accounts at tier-1 European banks — separate from operating capital — in line with EMI safeguarding requirements.
Who can open an account?
Anyone over 18 living in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom with a valid government-issued ID. We'll roll out to more regions through 2026.
How long does verification take?
Typically 3–6 minutes, end-to-end. In rare cases that require manual review, up to 24 hours. We'll tell you immediately if anything needs a second look.
Is my money safe?
